We will then move on to another winery, where it will be possible to taste the “Brunello” wine and the olive oil, that is also made by the winery, during lunch, sitting at a table in a panoramic terrace on the Val d’Orcia. After lunch the itinerary will continue to the area of Montepulciano, home to the “Nobile” winemaking, where we will visit a winery (that has now become an art gallery as well) that uses innovative methods of wine production, but that respects at the same time the old traditions in processing the precious grapes into a delicious wine. We will get back to your accommodation in the late afternoon.

Famous throughout the world for its organoleptic properties, this wine is mostly made from Sangiovese grape variety, blended with other vine varieties such as Colorino, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. We will then move on to reach the second winery in the area of Gaiole in Chianti: here, in addition to the wine tasting and the visit, you can stop for lunch, savoring some excellent local cuisine. After lunch, along scenic roads surrounded by picturesque vineyards, we will reach the third and last winery, where you will taste fine wines that are made with great ability by skilled hands, who can respect the old traditions of winemaking but at the same time can use innovative methods. Nobile Wine Tour

Montepulciano is a splendid Renaissance town, rich in art, history and culture, famous throughout the world for the production of excellent wines. Vino Nobile has been produced in this area for centuries with Sangiovese “Prugnolo Gentile” and other red grapes such as Canaiolo and Mammolo. We will then reach the first winery for the visit and the wine tasting of “Nobile”: here the knowledgeable staff will explain in English all the winemaking process that is necessary to go through to make this fine wine. In the late morning we will move on to another winery< where, in addition to the wine tasting and the visit, you can stop for lunch, savoring some excellent local cuisine. In the same square there is also the Cathedral (XI-XII century A.D.), a fine example of Romanesque architecture. After having lunch in a typical restaurant, you can move on to the city of Lucca, famous for its well-preserved city walls (XV-XVII century) and the elegant and picturesque historical centre with the Oval Square. You can end your visit with a relaxing walk for shopping through the historical centre.

Besides walking around the old town center, full of medieval buildings, where the houses and the churches are all made of tuff, it will be possible to visit, for those who wish to, the Jewish Synagogue, one of the most beautiful Jewish temples that can be admired in Tuscany. Pitigliano is also the recommended place to have lunch in one of its typical restaurants, so as to taste local specialties such as wild boar, truffle and porcini mushrooms. On the way back, you can stop for a short visit in Sovana, which was another important Etruscan village. The Cathedral is the main medieval monument in the old town center: inside the church you can admire the oldest pre-Romanesque ciborium (VIII century A.D.) in Tuscany.
