Assisi is the birth place of Saint Francis. Here you can visit the Basilica of San Francesco with its paintings by Giotto and Cimabue and the tomb of the saint. Walking through the quaint medieval streets of the town, you can also visit the beautiful church of Santa Chiara and the ancient town fortress.
You can then move to Spello, small medieval town situated on a hilltop and surrounded by centuries old olive trees. Here it is possible to have lunch in one of the typical restaurants serving local dishes cooked with delicious D.O.P. Umbrian extra virgin olive oil.

After lunch you can visit the city of
Perugia: the streets of the historical centre overlook the valley below and offer breathtaking views. Here you can also admire monuments such as Palazzo dei Priori, the church of San Francesco and the Fontana Maggiore. For gourmands there are typical shops producing the famous Perugina chocolate.
